Easter Songs, Counting Rhymes, Finger Plays, and Books for Preschool!

With Easter just around the corner, your kids and students will love playing and learning with Easter songs, finger plays, counting rhymes and books just for preschoolers!

Five Hopping Bunnies

Five hopping bunnies, white is what they wore,

One hopped away, then there were four.

Four hopping bunnies, sweet as they could be,

One hopped around the yard, then there were three.

Three hopping bunnies, with so much to do,

One went for Easter eggs, then there were two.

Two hopping bunnies, playing in the sun.

One hopped down a hole, then there was one.

One hopping bunny, cute as a penny, hopped into my Easter basket, then there weren’t any!

Did You Ever See a Bunny (tune “Did you ever see a Lassie?”) – an Easter Song for Preschool

Did you ever see a bunny, A bunny, a bunny?

Did you ever see a bunny, hop this way and that?

Hop this way and that way, hop this way and that way,

Did you ever see a bunny, hop this way and that?

Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny?

Did you ever see a bunny, that hopped quite this slow?

Hop this way and that way, hop this way and that way,

Did you ever see a bunny, that hopped quite this slow?

Did you ever see a bunny, a bunny, a bunny?

Did you ever see a bunny, that hopped quite this fast?

Hop this way and that way, hop this way and that way?

Did you ever see a bunny, that hopped quite this fast?

Five Little Easter Eggs – an Easter Counting Rhyme with Created Puppets

  • To make the puppets for use with the counting rhyme – print the Easter Egg Templates for Counting Rhymes and invite the kids to cut out the eggs or decorate their own on page 2 of the free printable.  Tape the Easter Eggs on top of a pipe cleaner for use with the counting rhyme below.

There were 5 Little Easter Eggs in a basket all alone.

They were waiting for the Easter Bunny to come and take them home!

The 1st one said, “I LOVE my purple dye!”

The 2nd one said, “I’m pink and almost dry!”

The 3rd one said, “Do you see the Bunny yet?”

The 4th one said, “He’ll soon be here, I’ll bet!”

The 5th one said, “I SEE him hopping, OH MY!”

Then the 5 little eggs watched the BUNNY hop with PRIDE!

He took the eggs and basket on a hippity, hoppity, ride!

BUNNY  (tune of B-I-N-G-O)  – an Easter Song for Preschool

There is a rabbit in our neighborhood,

Delivering Easter baskets,

Filled with eggs and toys,

Filled with eggs and toys,

Filled with eggs and toys,

For all good girls and boys.

And “Bunny” is this rabbit’s name — I can even spell it!

B-U-N-N-Y

B-U-N-N-Y

B-U-N-N-Y Oh, I can even spell it!
