S’more Bark and Tie Keychains – Easy Gifts for Kids to Make & Give

If you are looking for a few last minute ideas for your kids to give on Father’s Day…S’more Bark and Tie Keychains are fun and easy to make!

S’more Bark

Ingredients:  Miniature Marshmallows, Broken Grahams, and Chocolate Bark or Candy Coating Discs.

Melt the chocolate according to package directions.  Add miniature marshmallows and coarsely broken pieces of graham crackers to the chocolate.  Stir the mixture well and pour out onto parchment or waxed paper.  Let the chocolate set (until no longer shiny) and then break the bark into pieces.  Put the bark into a clear treat bag and label a tag with:  “DAD, I thank God for giving you to me…S’MORE everyday!”

Tie Keychains

Create an easy tie template on heavy paper and cut out.  We made a very simple tie template on heavy cardboard (see photo above) and it worked great!  Have the children decorate the tie with any materials available:  markers, collage materials, glitter, Wikki Stix, crayons or colored pencils.  Laminate the decorated crafts for durability.  If laminating supplies are not available, cover the tie in clear contact paper and cut out.

Hole punch the top of the tie and add a key ring!  Dad can carry the LOVE with him all year long!

We wish each and everyone one of YOU a blessed Father’s Day!
